People - Youth/Students
For the Fall 2007 Semester, i've received an e-mail from the MUNSU verifying that the Newfoundland and Labrador First Party have reached recognition status at MUN. Also, as Director of Youth Organizations in the NLFP and Student Representative on the Executive Council, i've initiated the process to establish a Youth Wing at MUN: the NLFP is in the process of writing a Draft Constitution for the Youth Wing of the NLFP, the MUN NLFP Youth Wing is looking for nominations of individuals for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of the said Youth Wing (it's a requirement that MUNSU that these positions have a phone # and/or e-mail provided, in addition to their name, so that when annual audits are done of the Youth Wing, MUNSU can ensure that the funding it receives from MUNSU if and when it's registered ($30 per term) is clear on where it's being sent.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the soon-to-be MUN Youth Wing Association can contact me (Jordan Willis Lester) by e-mail at guardianshadowknight@hotmail.com or by phone at 1-709-691-7171 (if it's long-distance), 691-7171 for local calls.
Also, expect to see more content on the "Youth" section of the website soon, as i'm starting to get some ideas together and the issue of the Youth Wing (according to the Party Leader) will be on the agenda of the next EC Meeting and the issue will be studied in committee (probably the Youth Wing committee).
Sincerely, Jordan Lester
- Director of Youth Organizations within the Newfoundland and Labrador First Party and Student Rep. on the Executive Council
P.S. We're ready looking for new members and i'd like to see some people from Labrador step up and tell me what policies the MUN Youth Wing Association should have concerning Labrador.
