The Significance of the NL First Emblem

The Flagpole represented by a Golden Scepter to remind us of our past historical connection to the Monarchy as well as the fact that we are members of a Constitutional Monarchy.
The colors in the flag pink, white and green, are the colors found in the flag of the Newfoundland Republic. A flag that, although never officially recognized, has gained acceptance by many and has come to represent the pride and fiery passion we all have for our Province.
Many legends surround the design of the Newfoundland Republic flag. The most widely accepted identifies that the color GREEN of the shamrock represents those of Irish descent, the PINK of the English Rose, those of English descent and the WHITE represents the white dove of peace resting between the two most prevalent groups in the province. In essence it speaks of peace and co-operation among our diverse cultures.
The the inlay of the maps of Newfoundland of Labrador represents the united land masses and the people of both regions. Even though we are separated by geography, are united in our past, our present and our future.
It recognizes the importance of the island and Big and Land co-operating and working together as single people.
The obvious Monogram of NL First Party.
But it means so much more as well.
It stands for Newfoundland and Labrador's Fight to be accepted as EQUAL partners in this Canada.
It stands for Newfoundland and Labrador's Future together in attaining that EQUALITY with the rest of Canada.
and
Finally, it Signifies that together, Newfoundland and Labrador will Flourish in that EQUALITY for the generations to come.
So our logo represents the
NL FIGHT
for an
NL FUTURE
which ensures that
