Youth Count Position - Wayne Bennett

2008-10-08
I have served on many an executive over the years and the most difficult task I have encountered is to have the old frats let the youth be an active participant.

If this country is to grow and prosper, we have to educate and mentor our youth.  This is by encouraging them as full participants in public forums.

The youth have all the ideas, we as adults have the power to implement these youthful ideas.

With the internet, the youth of today have much more knowledge than previous generations.  This knowledge is feared by my generation and generations before that.

Without our youth, we are nothing.  We have to learn from each other to make this world of ours stronger, more compassionate and helping those who are improvised.

In our party we have a youth director who is a full and valuable member of our Executive Council.  Today, while juggling the demands of a university programme, he is the campaign manger for our candidate in St. Johns South - Mount Pearl.

In addition to all of this, he is the administrator of our partys blog and facebook group.  I do not know what we would do without him and what he brings to our table.
